We were invited to sample the brand new Summer menu, launching on Friday 6 November created by Chef Anton, and boy is it delicious.
We arrived to an array of mouth watering desserts on show each with the tell, tell mark of the Belle quality.
Custom mocktails quenched our thirst as we watched with anticipation as the new menu items were being set up. Tastebuds caught on to the aromatics of the dishes, and we became eager to try them all, the new dishes were thought up by renowned Chef Anton who has over 25 years of experience.
After a brief introduction with the delightful owner and founder of Belle Patisserie we tucked into the feast. I must say that the flavour combinations were spot on. I had two favourites of the night being the Salmon with mushrooms and the Salmon pasta dish.
I may or may not have licked a cake or two but come on wouldn’t you? Diets didn’t stand a chance with Patrick’s desserts tempting the eyes and the stomachs going eat it, eat it all. I did my best and a dessert coma ensued but it was worth it, the softness the delicate touches and the pure decadence of it all. I ate gold I mean that’s something you don’t do daily.
Belle Patisserie BluBird offer complete satisfaction and I am beyond grateful that they are in my life (my diet not so much).
Give them a try and if not go pick up a cupcake we like the milk tart one and yes it tastes like a milk tart. They have three stores at the moment one in BluBird (Athol Oaklands), Sandton City and one in Pretoria. They also make custom cakes worth a thousand pictures and tasty to top it off.
